TAPIZAR FILLY OUT OF LONGING FOR QUIET 2020

Sire “Tapizar”

Tapizar is by champion, sire Tapit out of “Winning Call” by “Deputy Minister ”. As a two-year-old Tapizar ran four times. The first race was a maiden special weight at Monmouth Park, at the start he broke well, and kept on down the homestretch where he faded out of contention and finished third. His second race was also at Monmouth Park and he ran against “Pants on Fire” and “Mucho Macho Man”. He stumbled badly and unseated the rider. His third start at Churchill Downs he finished fourth. He returned to Churchill Downs for his fourth and final start of the year and went on to win by 10 1/2lengths , his breakout performance. After a huge win in his final race as a two-year-old. He was entered into the Sham stakes at Santa Anita. He won by 4 1/4 lengths then was entered in the Robert B Lewis again showed great speed, but finished fifth and was diagnosed with a chipped knee and was laid off for eight months. His first start back after that layoff was an allowance race and he won that by 2 1/4 lengths he was now entered into the Breeders’ Cup dirt mile and ran a very game fifth with only one race under his belt as a prep

As a four year old, his first start was in a graded stake at Santa Anita in January where he went on to win by 3 1/2lengths . He then ran in the Charles H Strobe stakes where he finished fourth. He then shipped to Oaklawn Park for the Razorback handicap where he finished second and was then given a five month layoff. he made his debut in the West Virginia governor stakes a race that he won by 4 1/2 lengths. Tapizar made his second attempt at the breeders cup dirt mile. He ran against Shackleford. He won that race by 2 1/4lengths, the most impressive performance of his career, defeating one of the best miler‘s ever to live in Shackleford..

Tapizar was retired to Stud in 2013 and produced one of the greatest race mares of all time in Kentucky Oaks winner and horse of the year Monomoy Girl. On December 15, 2020 at the age of 12 Tapizar had a freak accident in his stall and had to be euthanized. Tapizar has fantastic bloodlines and has proven to be a top quality Stallion. Our filly has his heart and determination, and we hope that she can follow in his footsteps.

“Longing For A Quiet” a chestnut mare by “Belong To Me” out of “Quiet” by “Roar”. This Mare had 24 starts with 4 wins, three seconds and 5 thirds. With earnings over $86,000. She earned a lifetime high 93 equibase speed figure which is outstanding. She raced from age 2 until age 5 and retired sound.
